Description
A SUNNY PATCH WITH MORE THAN ONE SHAPE
Four flowers for a looser, more interesting garden.
California Giant Mix Zinnia, Sensation Mixture Cosmos, Zeolights Calendula, and Lemon Queen Sunflower give you layered zinnia blooms, airy cosmos, warm calendula, and branching pale-yellow sunflowers instead of one repeated flower form.
Plan by bloom window: Zeolights calendula favors cool spring and fall conditions and may pause in midsummer heat; zinnia, cosmos, and Lemon Queen sunflower are warm-season companions after frost. Put taller, branching sunflower and cosmos toward the back and reserve access for repeat cutting. Simultaneous bloom is not guaranteed. See the four-crop season comparison.
Choose it for: a cutting garden, a colorful food-garden edge, or a sunny bed that does not need to look overly formal.
WHAT’S INSIDE
Four annual flowers with different jobs in the bed.
California Giant Mix Zinnia
Tall mixed-color zinnias with substantial blooms for summer borders and casual bouquets.
Sensation Mixture Cosmos
Airier plants and open daisy-like flowers that soften the look of the collection and move easily through a mixed planting.
Zeolights Calendula
Yellow, peach, and pink tones with dark centers and pink-maroon petal backs, adding a softer, lower layer to the group.
Lemon Queen Sunflower
A branching annual sunflower with light-yellow blooms that gives the planting height without relying on the usual deep-gold sunflower look.
BUILD THE BED IN LAYERS
Put height where it helps instead of where it hides everything.
These are not all the same size. Put taller sunflowers where they will not shade smaller plants unnecessarily, give California Giant zinnias room for airflow, and use cosmos where its airy habit can move through the planting without swallowing the rest.
The individual variety pages have the actual spacing, sowing, and support notes for each flower.
A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING
Before you add the collection.
Can I choose different flower colors?
The collection is fixed. California Giant and Sensation are mixtures, so color varies within those packets; Zeolights and Lemon Queen provide more specific color directions.
Are these perennial flowers?
No. These are annual flower varieties in this collection. Depending on climate and garden conditions, some annuals may self-sow, but the collection is sold as annual seed.
Do all four have to be planted together?
No. Use them as one mixed bed, separate cutting rows, accents around vegetables, or entirely different spots. The collection is a packet bundle, not a required planting plan.
Are these full-size packets?
Yes. The bundle uses the same full-size Hollowstead packets sold individually.
